Stephen Root — Sarasota, Florida, USA doğumlu, 1951-11-17. Oyunculuk alanında tanınır. Stephen Root, Amerikalı bir aktördür ve birçok popüler projede yer almıştır. NBC'nin sitcom'u NewsRadio'da Jimmy James karakterini canlandırmış, 1999 yapımı Office Space filminde ise Milton Waddams rolüyle tanınmıştır. Ayrıca, King of the Hill adlı animasyon dizisinde Bill Dauterive ve Buck Strickland karakterlerine ses vermiştir. Root, Coen kardeşlerin O Brother, Where Art Thou?, The Ladykillers, No Country for Old Men, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs ve The Tragedy of Macbeth gibi filmlerinde de rol almıştır.
