Richard Burton — Pontrhydyfen, Wales, UK doğumlu, 1925-11-10. Oyunculuk alanında tanınır. Richard Burton, güçlü bir sesiyle tanınan Galli bir aktördür. 1950'lerde Shakespeare'in eserlerinde kendini kanıtlayan Burton, 1964'teki Hamlet performansıyla hafızalarda yer etmiştir. Eleştirmen Kenneth Tynan, onu "Olivier'in doğal haleflerinden biri" olarak nitelendirmiştir.
