Cyril Cusack — Durban, Natal, South Africa doğumlu, 1910-11-26. Oyunculuk alanında tanınır. Cyril Cusack, çocuk yaşta annesiyle birlikte İrlanda'ya taşınarak tiyatro ile iç içe bir yaşam sürmeye başladı. Eğitimini Newbridge College ve University College Dublin'de tamamladıktan sonra, 1932 yılında Dublin'deki Abbey Tiyatrosu'na katılarak sahne kariyerine adım attı. İlk sinema deneyimini sekiz yaşında "Knocknagow" adlı sessiz filmle yaşayan Cusack, 1940'lardan itibaren İngiliz ve Hollywood sinemasında tanınan bir karakter oyuncusu haline geldi. "Odd Man Out" (1947) ile uluslararası başarı elde eden Cusack, "1984" (1956), "Soğuktan Gelen Casus" (1965) ve "Fahrenheit 451" (1966) gibi önemli yapımlarda unutulmaz performanslar sergiledi. Ayrıca "Hırçın Kız" (1967), "Çakal'ın Günü" (1973) ve "Sol Ayağım" (1989) gibi başyapıtlarda da rol aldı. Oyunculuğunun yanı sıra bir şair olarak da eserler veren Cusack, kendi tiyatro kumpanyasını kurarak yapımcılık da yaptı. Ailevi olarak, eşi ve çocukları da sahne sanatlarına yönelerek "Cusack Oyunculuk Hanedanı"nı oluşturdu.
