Wanda Ventham

Biyografi

Wanda Ventham — Brighton, East Sussex, England, UK doğumlu, 1935-08-05. Oyunculuk alanında tanınır. Wanda Ventham, 1950'lerden itibaren İngiliz televizyonunda birçok önemli rolde yer almış bir aktristir. 1970'lerdeki bilim kurgu dizisi UFO'da Albay Virginia Lake karakterini canlandırmasıyla tanınmıştır. 1989-1992 yılları arasında ise Only Fools and Horses sitcom'unda Cassandra Trotter'ın annesi Pamela Parry rolünde tekrar eden bir performans sergilemiştir. Ventham, The Sweeney, The Avengers, The Saint, Doctor Who, Heartbeat ve Holby City gibi çeşitli televizyon programlarında da rol almıştır. Sinema kariyerine 1956'da My Teenage Daughter filmiyle başlamış olup, Carry On Cleo (1964) ve Carry On Up the Khyber (1968) gibi filmlerde de yer almıştır. Ayrıca, Doctor Who dizisinde üç farklı karakterle otuz yıl içinde üç kez görünmüştür. 2014 yılında, kocası Timothy Carlton ile birlikte BBC'nin Sherlock dizisinde ebeveynler olarak yer almıştır. 2014'te People dergisi tarafından "Dünyanın En Güzel İnsanları" arasında gösterilmiştir.
