Vera Miles — Boise City, Oklahoma, USA doğumlu, 1930-08-23. Oyunculuk alanında tanınır. Vera Miles, Amerikalı bir aktris olarak Hollywood’un önemli isimlerinden biridir. 1948 yılında "Miss Kansas" unvanını kazanarak kariyerine adım atan Miles, küçük rollerde yer aldıktan sonra ünlü yönetmenler Alfred Hitchcock ve John Ford’un dikkatini çekmeyi başardı. Ford'un klasik batı filmi The Searchers (1956) ile tanınan Miles, Hitchcock'un onu "yeni Grace Kelly" olarak nitelendirmesiyle büyük bir çıkış yaptı. Hitchcock, Miles'ı The Wrong Man (1956) filminde Henry Fonda ile eşleştirirken, Vertigo (1958) filmindeki Judy Barton rolü için onu seçti; ancak Miles, hamileliği nedeniyle bu projeden çekildi. Psycho (1960) filminde de destekleyici bir rolde yer aldı. John Wayne ve James Stewart ile The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962) filminde oynadı.
