Sophie Aldred — Greenwich, England doğumlu, 1962-08-20. Oyunculuk alanında tanınır. Sophie Aldred, okulu tamamladıktan sonra Manchester Üniversitesi'ne gitmiş ve burada drama alanında eğitim almıştır. Üniversite yıllarından itibaren Equity kartını almak için işçi kulüplerinde şarkı söylemiş, ardından bir çocuk tiyatrosunda çalışmıştır. Bir menajer bulabilmek amacıyla Londra'da bir pub tiyatrosunda "Underground Men" adlı bağımsız bir gösteride rol almış, bunun ardından çocuk tiyatrosu çalışmalarına devam etmiştir. Manchester'da Topol ile birlikte "Fiddler on the Roof" adlı oyunda sahne alırken Ace karakterini kapmıştır. "Doctor Who" dizisindeki rolüyle eş zamanlı olarak, küçük çocuklara yönelik "Corners" adlı bir program sunmuş, sonrasında oyunculuk ve müzik yeteneklerini birleştirdiği "Melvin and Maureen's Music-a-grams" programını yapmıştır.
