Siân Phillips — Gwaun-Cae-Gurwen, Glamorgan, Wales doğumlu, 1933-05-14. Oyunculuk alanında tanınır. Siân Phillips, tam adıyla Dame Jane Elizabeth Ailwên Phillips, bir Galli aktris, yazar ve şarkıcıdır. Sally (Thomas) ve David Phillips'in kızı olan Phillips, çocukluğunun büyük bir bölümünde yalnızca Gali dilini konuşmuştur; İngilizceyi ise radyo dinleyerek öğrenmiştir. Pontardawe Grammar Okulu'nda eğitim aldıktan sonra, 1955 yılında Cardiff Üniversitesi'nde İngilizce ve Felsefe okumuştur. Aynı yıl Londra'daki RADA'ya burslu olarak girmiş ve burada Diana Rigg ve Glenda Jackson ile birlikte eğitim almıştır. Hedda Gabler performansıyla prestijli Bancroft Altın Madalyası'nı kazanmış ve RADA'dan mezun olduktan sonra Hollywood'dan iş teklifleri almıştır. Ancak, o dönemde öğrenci olmasına rağmen, sahne çalışmalarını tercih ederek bu teklifleri geri çevirmiştir.
