Biyografi

Robert Powell — Salford, Manchester, England, UK doğumlu, 1944-06-01. Oyunculuk alanında tanınır. Robert Powell, İngiliz bir aktördür. Oyunculuk kariyerine 1964 yılında, Manchester Üniversitesi'nde öğrenciyken başlamıştır. 1967'de sinemaya adım atmış, ardından "The Italian Job" (1969) filmindeki rolüyle ilk başrolünü üstlenmiştir. Bilinen filmleri arasında Franco Zeffirelli'nin "Jesus of Nazareth" (1977), Ken Russell'ın "Tommy" (1975) ve "Mahler" (1974), "The Thirty Nine Steps" (1978) yeniden çevrimi ve popüler dizi "Doomwatch" (1970) yer almaktadır. Robert, 29 Ağustos 1975'te Barbara "Babs" Lord ile evlenmiş, çiftin bir oğlu ve bir kızı bulunmaktadır. 1982'de "Imperative" filmindeki performansıyla Venedik Film Festivali'nde En İyi Erkek Oyuncu ödülünü kazanmıştır. "Harlequin" (1980) filmiyle Paris Film Festivali'nde en iyi erkek oyuncu ödülünü almıştır. "Jesus of Nazareth" filminde canlandırdığı İsa rolüyle TV Times ve İtalyan TV Times'tan en iyi oyuncu ödüllerinin yanı sıra Fiuggi Film Festivali'nde uluslararası sanat ödülü, Saint-Vincent Film
