Robert Middleton

Biyografi

Robert Middleton — Cincinnati, Ohio, USA doğumlu, 1911-05-13. Oyunculuk alanında tanınır. Asıl adı Samuel G. Messer olan Robert Middleton, iri yapısı ve karakteristik kalın kaşlarıyla tanınan Amerikalı bir film ve televizyon oyuncusuydu. Derin ve gür sesiyle dikkat çeken Middleton, müzik kariyeri için Cincinnati Conservatory of Music ile Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania'daki Carnegie Tech'te eğitim almış, ardından radyo spikerliği ve oyunculuk alanlarında istikrarlı bir şekilde çalışmıştır. Erken dönem çalışmaları arasında "Duck and Cover" adlı eğitim filminde anlatıcılık yapması yer alır. Broadway sahnesinde ve canlı televizyon yapımlarında rol aldıktan sonra 1954'te sinemaya adım atmıştır. The Jackie Gleason Show'da patron Mr. Marshall karakteriyle televizyonda hatırlanan Middleton; sinemada Humphrey Bogart ile The Desperate Hours (1955), Gary Cooper ile Friendly Persuasion (1956), Richard Egan ve Elvis Presley ile Love Me Tender (1956), Dorothy Malone ve Robert Stack ile The Tarnished Angels (1958) ve Dean Martin ile Career (1959) filmlerinde rol almıştır. 1950'ler ve 1960'larda Appointment with Adventure, The Joseph Cotten Show, The Monroes, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Bat Masterson, The Law and Mr. Jones, Thriller ve Bonanza gibi pek çok televizyon programında görünmüştür. 1950'
