Peter Sallis — Twickenham, England, UK doğumlu, 1921-02-01. Oyunculuk alanında tanınır. İngiliz televizyonundaki çalışmalarıyla tanınan oyuncu ve sanatçı Peter Sallis, Londra'da doğup büyümesine karşın en bilinen iki rolünde Kuzey İngiltere aksanını ve tavırlarını benimsemek zorunda kalmıştır. Banka müdürü Harry Sallis ile Dorothy Amea Frances'in tek çocuğu olan Peter John Sallis, televizyondaki ilk büyük rolünü 1958 yılında BBC yapımı "The Diary of Samuel Pepys" dizisinde Samuel Pepys karakteriyle elde etmiştir. Sallis, en çok Yorkshire'da geçen uzun soluklu İngiliz komedi dizisi "Last of the Summer Wine"da Norman Clegg karakteriyle tanınmıştır; dizinin tüm 295 bölümünde yer alan oyuncu, kadronun en uzun süre görev yapan üyesi olmuş ve yapımın sona ermesine kadar 1973'teki ilk bölümden hayatta kalan tek isim olmuştur. Ayrıca serinin öncülü "First of the Summer Wine"ın 13 bölümünde de Norman Clegg'in babasını canlandırmıştır. Sallis, kuzey aksanını kullanarak Wallace and Gromit filmlerinde Wallace karakterine ses vermesiyle de ünlenmiştir. Cosgrove Hall yapımı "The Wind in the Willows" (1984-1990) dizisinde Richard Pearson, Michael Horden ve David Jason ile birlikte rol alarak Rat/Ratty karakterine seslendirme yapmıştır.
