Norman Lear — New Haven, Connecticut, USA doğumlu, 1922-07-27. Yapım alanında tanınır. Norman Lear, Amerikalı televizyon yazarı ve yapımcısı olarak 1970'lerdeki ünlü sitcomlarıyla tanınmıştır. "All in the Family", "Sanford and Son", "The Jeffersons", "Good Times" ve "Maude" gibi yapımlar onun imzasını taşımaktadır. Aynı zamanda bir siyasi aktivist olan Lear, 1981 yılında People for the American Way adlı savunuculuk kuruluşunu kurmuş ve İlk Değişiklik hakları ile ilerici davaları desteklemiştir. New Haven, Connecticut'ta doğan Lear, ailesinin Rus Yahudi göçmeni geçmişine sahiptir.
