Norman Bird — Coalville, Leicestershire, England, UK doğumlu, 1920-10-30. Oyunculuk alanında tanınır. John George Norman Bird, İngiliz karakter oyuncusu olarak tanınan bir sanatçıdır. RADA mezunu olan Bird, 1951 yılında Peter Brook'un "The Winter's Tale" adlı prodüksiyonuyla West End sahnesine adım atmıştır. Aynı zamanda BBC'nin Radyo Drama Şirketi'nin bir üyesi olan Bird, sinema kariyerine 1954 yılında "An Inspector Calls" filminde foreman rolüyle başlamıştır. 1950'ler ve 1960'larda Britanya sinemasının tanınan yüzlerinden biri haline gelmiş, "The Angry Silence", "The League of Gentlemen" ve "The Hill" gibi yaklaşık 50 filmde rol almıştır. Ayrıca, 200'den fazla televizyon programında görünmüştür; en bilinen rolleri arasında "Worzel Gummidge" dizisindeki Mr Braithwaite ve "Fawlty Towers"ın "Waldorf Salad" bölümündeki Mr Arrad bulunmaktadır. 1990 yılında, Dennis Waterman ile birlikte "Stay Lucky" dizisinde yer alarak 200. televizyon görünümünü gerçekleştirmiştir.
