Premiering in 2020, the production presents the beloved Trolls characters' everyday adventures, friendships, and song-filled lives that weren't shown in the theatrical films, delivered in short episodes. The series takes place in a vibrant world made up of regions inspired by different music genres, collectively called TrollsTopia. This structure is one of the series' most striking features, both in terms of visual variety and content richness. With its short episode lengths, TrollsTopia offers a practical viewing experience for both children and families, successfully bringing the energy of the original films to the small screen. GloZell Green, one of the voice contributors to the production, adds to the series' fun and colorful atmosphere with her distinctive style.

Plot

At the center of the series is a large cast of characters featuring Poppy, Branch, and their friends, familiar to us from the Trolls films. TrollsTopia allows us to discover that the world these characters live in is actually made up of many different "regions," each representing its own musical style and way of life. These regions, inspired by different musical cultures such as Pop, Country, Funk, Techno, Rock, and Classical, create a world that is rich both visually and sonically. The episodes generally proceed as standalone stories; the main themes of the series consist of the characters' small adventures, tests of friendship, fun misunderstandings, and music-filled celebrations. Each episode highlights the characters' love, solidarity, and positive energy toward one another, offering viewers a warm and enjoyable atmosphere.

Why Watch It?

TrollsTopia offers viewers who love the Trolls universe the opportunity to explore this world in greater depth. The personalities of characters briefly introduced in the theatrical films are explored in much more detail in the series. In addition, the short length of each episode provides digestible content for children while also creating a format that parents can comfortably watch together with their kids. The vivid colors of the visual design, energetic musical scenes, and adorable character designs are among the series' strongest qualities. The regions, which reference different music genres, offer viewers not only an entertaining but also an educational experience of musical diversity.
