Biyografi

Sonny Bono — Detroit, Michigan, USA doğumlu, 1935-02-16. Oyunculuk alanında tanınır. Salvatore Phillip "Sonny" Bono, Amerikalı bir şarkıcı, söz yazarı, aktör ve siyasetçiydi. İkinci eşi Cher ile birlikte Sonny & Cher adlı şarkı grubunu kurarak müzik kariyerine önemli bir katkı sağladı. Cumhuriyetçi Parti üyesi olan Bono, 1988'den 1992'ye kadar Palm Springs, Kaliforniya'nın 16. belediye başkanı olarak görev yaptı. 1995'ten 1998 yılına kadar ise Kaliforniya'nın 44. kongre bölgesinin ABD temsilcisi olarak görev yaptı. Bono'nun müzik ve siyaset alanındaki çalışmaları, onu dönemin tanınan figürlerinden biri haline getirmiştir.
