Renée Houston — Johnstone, Renfrewshire, Scotland, UK doğumlu, 1902-07-24. Oyunculuk alanında tanınır. Renée Houston, İskoç komedi aktrisi ve revü sanatçısı olarak tanınan bir isimdir. Johnstone, Renfrewshire'da Katherina Houston Gribbin adıyla dünyaya gelmiş ve müzik salonları ile revülerde kız kardeşi Billie Houston ile birlikte "Houston Sisters" olarak sahne almıştır. 1926 yılında, Renée'nin senaryosunu yazdığı kısa bir müzikal film çekilmiş, bu film Lee De Forest tarafından üretilmiştir ve Phonofilm teknolojisi kullanılarak sesli olarak sunulmuştur. Houston, üç kez evlenmiştir; ikinci eşi aktör Pat Aherne, üçüncü eşi ise aktör Donald Stewart'dır. Kariyerinin ilerleyen dönemlerinde "battleaxe" rolleriyle tanınmış, 1971 yılında "Carry On at Your Convenience" filminde, Kenneth Cope'un canlandırdığı işçi temsilcisi Vic Spanner'ın sert annesi olarak dikkat çekmiştir. 1974'te "Don't Fence Me In" adlı otobiyografisini yayımlamış, ayrıca radyo programlarıyla da tanınmıştır. 9 Şubat 1980'de Londra'da 77 yaşında vefat etmiştir.
