Ray Smith — Trealaw, Glamorgan, Wales, UK doğumlu, 1936-05-01. Oyunculuk alanında tanınır. Ray Smith, Galler kökenli bir aktör olarak "Dempsey and Makepeace" dizisinde sert konuşan polis şefi Dedektif Baş Müfettiş Gordon Spikings karakterini canlandırmasıyla tanındı. BBC radyosu için Brother Cadfael karakterini seslendiren ilk oyuncu olan Smith, BBC'nin 1975 yapımı "How Green Was My Valley" uyarlamasında Dai Bando rolüyle de akıllarda kaldı; bu performans özellikle dokunaklıydı, zira kendisi de üç yaşındayken bir maden kazasında hayatını kaybeden bir madencinin oğluydu. Kariyerindeki son çalışması, Kingsley Amis'in romanından uyarlanan "The Old Devils" dizisiydi.
