Queen Latifah — Newark, New Jersey, USA doğumlu, 1970-03-18. Oyunculuk alanında tanınır. Dana Elaine Owens, sahne adıyla Queen Latifah, Amerikalı bir rapçi, aktris ve şarkıcıdır. 1989 yılında Tommy Boy Records ile anlaşma imzalayarak müzik kariyerine adım atan Latifah, 28 Kasım 1989'da "All Hail the Queen" adlı ilk albümünü yayınladı ve bu albümdeki "Ladies First" adlı hit şarkıyla dikkat çekti. 1993-1998 yılları arasında Fox'un "Living Single" adlı sitcomunda Khadijah James karakterine hayat verdi. 1993'te çıkardığı "Black Reign" albümü, solo kadın rapçiler arasında RIAA sertifikası alan ilk albüm oldu ve "U.N.I.T.Y." şarkısı, kadınlara yönelik şiddet ve siyah kadınların cinselliğinin nesneleştirilmesi konularında farkındalık yarattı. 2002'de "Chicago" filmindeki Matron "Mama" Morton rolüyle büyük beğeni topladı ve En İyi Yardımcı Kadın Oyuncu dalında Oscar adaylığı aldı.
