Mike Rutherford — Guildford, Surrey, England, UK doğumlu, 1950-10-02. Oyunculuk alanında tanınır. Mike Rutherford, 1967 yılında rock grubu Genesis'i kuran İngiliz gitarist, bas gitarist ve şarkı yazarıdır. Grubun sürekli üyelerinden biri olan Rutherford, başlangıçta Genesis'in bas gitaristi ve arka vokalisti olarak görev yapmış, aynı zamanda gruptaki ritim gitar parçalarını da çalmıştır. Anthony Phillips ve Steve Hackett gibi lead gitaristlerle işbirliği yaparak, sıklıkla on iki telli gitarla performans sergilemiştir. 1977'de Hackett'in gruptan ayrılmasının ardından, Rutherford stüdyo albümlerinde lead gitarist olarak görev almaya başlamıştır. Genesis'in kariyeri boyunca önemli şarkı yazarlarından biri olan Rutherford, "Follow You Follow Me", "Turn It On Again", "Land of Confusion" ve "Throwing It All Away" gibi uluslararası hitlerin sözlerini yazmıştır. 2010 yılında Genesis'in bir üyesi olarak Rock and Roll Hall of Fame'e kabul edilmiştir. Bunun yanı sıra, 1980'lerin başında iki solo albüm çıkarmış ve 1985'te kurduğu Mike + the Mechanics grubu ile de önemli başarılar elde etmiştir.
