Michael Diamond — Brooklyn - New York - USA doğumlu, 1965-11-20. Ses alanında tanınır. Michael Diamond, New York City'de üst orta sınıf bir Yahudi ailesinde dünyaya geldi. Eğitim hayatına Vassar College'da altı ay geçirdi. 1979 yılında The Young Aborigines adlı grubu kurdu. 1981 yılında, grubun arkadaşı Adam Yauch (MCA) bas gitarist olarak katıldı ve grubun o zamanki gitaristi John Berry'nin önerisiyle isimlerini Beastie Boys olarak değiştirdiler. 1983 yılına gelindiğinde Adam Horovitz (Ad-Rock) gruba dahil oldu ve müzik tarzları punk'tan hip-hop'a doğru evrildi. 1992'de Mike D, Beastie Boys'un artık faaliyette olmayan plak şirketi Grand Royal Records'u kurdu. Ağustos 2013'te ise Mike D ve Adam Horovitz, Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band'ın "Bad Dancer" parçasının remix'ini çevrimiçi olarak yayımladı.
