Biyografi

Marlee Matlin — Morton Grove, Illinois, USA doğumlu, 1965-08-24. Oyunculuk alanında tanınır. Marlee Bethany Matlin, Amerikalı bir aktris olarak dikkat çekmektedir. 21 yaşında "Children of a Lesser God" filmiyle En İyi Kadın Oyuncu dalında Akademi Ödülü kazanarak, bu ödülü kazanan en genç kadın ve şu ana kadar En İyi Kadın Oyuncu Oscar'ını kazanan tek işitme engelli aktris olma unvanını elde etmiştir. Sinema ve televizyon alanındaki çalışmaları ona bir Altın Küre ödülü kazandırmış, ayrıca iki kez bu ödüle aday gösterilmiştir. Ayrıca, dört Emmy adaylığı da bulunmaktadır. İki yaşından beri işitme engelli olan Matlin, aynı zamanda Ulusal İşitme Engelliler Derneği'nin önde gelen üyelerindendir.
