Biyografi

Mark Mothersbaugh — Akron, Ohio, USA doğumlu, 1950-05-18. Ses alanında tanınır. Mark Mothersbaugh, Amerikalı bir müzisyen ve bestecidir. 1970'lerin sonlarında, yeni dalga grubu Devo'nun kurucu ortaklarından biri olarak öne çıkmıştır. Devo, 1980 yılında "Whip It" adlı şarkısıyla ABD'de 20'li sıralarda yer almış ve 14. sıraya kadar yükselmiştir. Mothersbaugh, Devo'nun müziğinin başlıca bestecilerindendir. Devo ile olan çalışmalarının yanı sıra, Mutato Muzika adlı prodüksiyon şirketi aracılığıyla televizyon dizileri, filmler ve video oyunları için müzik bestelemiştir. Özellikle 13 yıl süren animasyon dizisi Rugrats ve onunla bağlantılı üç sinema filmi için müzik yapmıştır. Ayrıca Wes Anderson ve Marvel Comics filmleri için de film müzikleri bestelemiştir. Solo sanatçı olarak dört stüdyo albümü yayımlamıştır: Muzik for Insomniaks, Muzik for the Gallery, Joyeux Mutato ve The Most Powerful Healing Muzik in the Entire World. 2004 yılında BMI Film ve TV Ödülleri'nde Richard Kirk Ödülü'nü kazanmış ve 2008 yılında Kent Eyalet Üniversitesi'nden onur doktorası almıştır.
