Diana Rigg

Biyografi

Diana Rigg — Doncaster, Yorkshire, England, UK doğumlu, 1938-07-20. Oyunculuk alanında tanınır. Dame Enid Diana Elizabeth Rigg, İngiliz bir aktris olarak tanınmaktadır. 1965-1968 yılları arasında yayımlanan The Avengers dizisinde Emma Peel karakteriyle, 2013-2017 yılları arasında ise Game of Thrones dizisinde Olenna Tyrell rolüyle hafızalara kazınmıştır. Tiyatro kariyeri de oldukça dikkat çekici olan Rigg, Medea adlı oyunda başrol oynamış ve bu performansıyla 1994'te Tony Ödülü'nü kazanmıştır. 1957'de profesyonel sahne hayatına başlayan Rigg, 1959'da Royal Shakespeare Company'ye katılmış ve 1971'de Broadway'de Abelard & Heloise prodüksiyonu ile sahneye çıkmıştır. Sinema dünyasında ise A Midsummer Night's Dream (1968) ve On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) gibi önemli yapımlarda yer almıştır. 1989'da BBC mini dizisi Mother Love ile BAFTA TV Ödülü'nü, 1997'de ise Rebecca uyarlamasındaki Mrs. Danvers rolüyle Emmy Ödülü'nü kazanmıştır. Ayrıca, You, Me and the Apocalypse (2015) ve Doctor Who (2013) gibi televizyon projelerinde de rol almıştır.
