Denver Pyle — Bethune, Colorado, USA doğumlu, 1920-05-11. Oyunculuk alanında tanınır. Denver Pyle, Amerikalı bir film ve televizyon oyuncusuydu. En çok, The Andy Griffith Show'da Briscoe Darling Jr. karakterini canlandırması ve 1979-1985 yılları arasında The Dukes of Hazzard dizisinde Jesse Duke rolüyle tanınmıştır. Colorado'da bir çiftçi ailesinde doğan Pyle, liseyi bitirdikten sonra kısa bir süre Colorado Eyalet Üniversitesi'ne devam etti, ancak şov dünyasına girmek için okuldan ayrıldı ve 1940 yılında Los Angeles'a taşındı. Müzik kariyerine davulcu olarak başladı, ancak II. Dünya Savaşı'nın başlamasıyla birlikte ABD Donanması'na katıldı. Guadalcanal Savaşı'nda yaralanarak 1942'de tıbbi bir terhis aldı. Savaşın sonlarına doğru, Amerika Birleşik Devletleri Ticaret Donanması'nda görev yaptı. 1955 yılında Marilee Carpenter ile evlendi ve iki oğlu oldu; çift 1970'te boşandı. 1983'te Tippie Johnston ile evlendi. Pyle, 1997 yılının Noel günü akciğer kanserinden hayatını kaybetti ve cenazesi 1998 yılında Texas'taki Waxahachie'deki First Baptist Church'te yapıldı.
