Andy Griffith — Mount Airy, North Carolina, USA doğumlu, 1926-06-01. Oyunculuk alanında tanınır. Andy Griffith, Amerikalı bir aktör, komedyen, televizyon yapımcısı, güney gospel sanatçısı ve yazardır. Kendine has güney aksanı, samimi karakterleri ve sert ama dostça sesiyle tanınan Griffith, iki rolüyle Tony Ödülü adaylığı elde etmiştir. 1957'de Elia Kazan'ın yönettiği "A Face in the Crowd" ve 1958'de "No Time for Sergeants" filmlerindeki başrol performanslarıyla dikkat çekmiştir. Ancak en çok televizyon rolleriyle tanınmıştır; 1960-1968 yılları arasında "The Andy Griffith Show" adlı sitcomda Andy Taylor karakterini canlandırmış ve 1986-1995 yılları arasında "Matlock" adlı hukuk dramasında Ben Matlock rolüyle izleyici karşısına çıkmıştır.
