Earth: Final Conflict, bilimkurgu televizyonunun 90'ların sonu ve 2000'lerin başında öne çıkan yapımlarından biri olarak karşımıza çıkıyor. Efsanevi yazar Gene Roddenberry'nin (Star Trek'in yaratıcısı) üzerinde çalıştığı ancak hayatını kaybetmesi nedeniyle tamamlanmamış fikirlerinden geliştirilen dizi, uzaylı istilası temasını klasik "gizli işgal" formülünden farklı, daha politik ve felsefi bir bakış açısıyla ele alıyor. Yapım, 1997 yılında yayın hayatına başladı ve beş sezon boyunca ekranlarda kalarak dönemin sci-fi izleyicisi arasında sadık bir hayran kitlesi oluşturdu.

Dizinin evreninde Dünya, kendilerini "Companions" (Yoldaşlar) olarak tanıtan gelişmiş bir uzaylı ırk tarafından "barışçıl" bir şekilde ele geçirilmiştir. Konu

Hikaye, Dünya'nın Taelon adlı uzaylı bir ırk tarafından ele geçirildiği bir gelecekte geçiyor. Bu uzaylılar, insanlığa hastalıklara çare, temiz enerji kaynakları ve teknolojik ilerleme gibi büyük vaatlerle gelmiş ve dünya liderlerinin güvenini kazanmıştır.
