Richard Coles — Northampton, Northamptonshire, England, UK doğumlu, 1962-03-26. Oyunculuk alanında tanınır. Richard Coles, İngiliz yazar, radyo sunucusu ve Anglikan papazıdır. 1980'lerde Jimmy Somerville ile birlikte kurduğu Communards grubu ile tanınmaya başlamıştır. Bu grup, 1986 yılında "Don't Leave Me This Way" adlı parçasıyla Birleşik Krallık'ta en çok satan single olmayı başarmış ve üç adet UK top-10 hit'i elde etmiştir. Coles, 2011-2023 yılları arasında BBC Radio 4'teki Saturday Live programının sunuculuğunu yapmış, ayrıca QI, Would I Lie to You? ve Have I Got News for You gibi televizyon programlarında sıkça yer almıştır. Northampton Üniversitesi'nde şansölye olarak görev yapmaktadır. Eğitim hayatına Wellingborough School'da başlayan Coles, daha sonra Stratford-upon-Avon'daki South Warwickshire College ve King's College London'da Teoloji okumuştur. Müzik kariyerine 1980'lerde saxofon, klarnet ve klavye çalarak başlamış, Bronski Beat ve ardından Communards ile önemli başarılara imza atmıştır. Ayrıca yazarlık kariyerine de Times Literary Supplement ve Catholic Herald gibi yayınlarda yer alarak adım atmıştır.
