Biyografi

Paul Anka — Ottawa, Ontario, Canada doğumlu, 1941-07-30. Oyunculuk alanında tanınır. Paul Anka, Kanadalı-Amerikalı şarkıcı, söz yazarı ve aktördür. "Diana", "Lonely Boy", "Put Your Head on My Shoulder" ve "(You're) Having My Baby" gibi hit şarkılarıyla tanınır. Anka, The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson'ın temasını yazmış, Tom Jones'un en büyük hitlerinden biri olan "She's a Lady" için de söz yazmıştır. Frank Sinatra'nın imza şarkısı "My Way" için İngilizce sözleri kaleme almış ve bu parça birçok sanatçı tarafından yorumlanmıştır. Michael Jackson ile birlikte "This Is It", "Love Never Felt So Good" ve "Don't Matter to Me" gibi şarkılar yazmıştır. Anka, Ottawa'da doğmuş ve müzik eğitimine St. Elias Antiochian Ortodoks Katedrali korosunda başlamıştır. 14 yaşında "I Confess" adlı ilk single'ını kaydetmiş ve 1956'da New York'ta "Diana" şarkısıyla büyük bir çıkış yapmıştır. Bu parça, Kanadalı sanatçılar arasında en çok satan single'lardan biri olmuştur. 1958'de dört şarkısıyla daha Top 20'ye girmiştir ve o dönemdeki en popüler genç idolü haline gelmiştir.
