Cyd Charisse — Amarillo, Texas, USA doğumlu, 1922-03-08. Oyunculuk alanında tanınır. Cyd Charisse, Amerikalı bir dansçı ve aktris olarak tanınmaktadır. Çocukluğunda geçirdiği polio hastalığından sonra bale eğitimi alarak sinema dünyasına 1940'lı yıllarda adım atmıştır. Genellikle dans yetenekleriyle ön plana çıkan Charisse, Fred Astaire ve Gene Kelly gibi ünlü isimlerle birlikte çalışmıştır. Sinema kariyerinde "Singin' in the Rain" (1952), "The Band Wagon" (1953), "Brigadoon" (1954) ve "Silk Stockings" (1957) gibi önemli yapımlarda rol almıştır. 1950'lerin sonlarına doğru filmde dans etmeyi bırakmasına rağmen, oyunculuk kariyerine devam etmiş ve televizyon projelerinde de yer almıştır. 1992 yılında ise Broadway'de sahne alarak yeni bir başlangıç yapmıştır.
