Ben Burtt — Jamesville, New York, USA doğumlu, 1948-07-12. Ses alanında tanınır. Benjamin "Ben" Burtt, Jr., ses tasarımcısı, film editörü, yönetmen, senarist ve seslendirme sanatçısı olarak tanınmaktadır. Star Wars ve Indiana Jones gibi birçok film serisinde ses tasarımcısı olarak görev almış, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, WALL-E ve Star Trek gibi yapımlarda da çalışmıştır. Star Wars serisinde duyulan ikonik ses efektlerinin birçoğunun yaratıcısıdır; R2-D2'nun ikili konuşması, ışın kılıcı sesi, blaster silahlarının sesi ve Darth Vader'ın ağır nefes alma sesi gibi efektler onun imzasını taşımaktadır. Darth Vader'ın nefes sesini, bir dalış regülatörüne nefes vererek oluşturmuştur. Ayrıca, 1953 yapımı The Charge at Feather River filminde yer alan Wilhelm isimli karakterden alınan ve "Wilhelm scream" olarak bilinen bir ses efektinin popülerleşmesinde de önemli bir rol oynamıştır.
